Mwah!! Ta, lovely. I certainly don’t complain when people say that — it’s super sweet regardless — but in my head it’s always sort of beside the point? My relationship with pictures is just WEIRD. To my eye, they can look good or they can look like me, but very very rarely the twain shall meet. Maybe because I don’t look much like my gorpy self if I’m succesfully thinking about minimizing my crooked teeth and/or big ol’ schnozz. *shrug*
I think part of it is that whole thing where seeing yourself not reversed (i.e. not a reflection) just seems wrong to your brain? Or at least mine. And my face is not very symmetrical at all, so there’s a lot to notice being the wrong way round.
Also, I very seldom mind my own image on video. It’s just still pictures. I dunno. My brain is a weird place.
